Science and skill of adjusting and setting up a guitar.

Adjusting a guitar is a very important step in the "life" of a guitar BEFORE it is going to be used. Also after a months from new, it needs re-adjusting.

A guitar is build from several materials with it's different unique mechanical reactions, inherent of the use of the chosen materials.

A new and fresh piece of wood, that you hold in your hands everyday a few times, a couple of months will change. And will never be the same in the space of time. And that is what happens with your new guitar. It changes...!!!!

Adjusting and setting up your guitar means:

* adjustment of the trussrod

* leveling and dressing the frets. (by hand, one by one)

* Adjustment of the nut. VERY IMPORTANT for a right string action, intonation and comfort.

* The space between the strings and the magnetpoles of the pickups is critical. Too low means lack of output, too high means stringpull.

* The true length of the string from nut to bridge. For the high E string this means that the 12th fret is exactly 50% of the total lenght of the string. In that present circumstance the other strings need to be compensated.

* Vertical angle neck and body

* Horizontal angle neck and body

* Stringaction.
